Pregnancy is weird

Not mine but my pelvic floor physio is very positive about c-sections for those who want/ need them (which can be a fuzzy line!) and had both her kids by elective c-section due to some existing conditions and has resources & postpartum advice on her website specifically for after c-sections as well as for after vaginal births.

Yes. This was my first c section. (And add preE etc for me). Very very hard recovery. My second was a scheduled c section. Night and day difference. I had to remind myself not to do too much in the first few weeks because I felt GOOD. Literally can’t express how different the two births were. My friend who saw me/helped me had had an all natural “picture perfect” home birth, and she told me she was shocked I had an easier recovery than she did even. I legit can’t sing the praises enough of scheduled over emergent surgery lol.

TC: Why did the OB tell me to take this med 3x a day but only give me a 30 day 1x/day supply. And I can’t refill til December. Chill

TV: Not taking zofran means I’m pooping like a human again

Well I’ve started throwing up so that’s maybe a good sign?

I still can’t convince myself I’m actually pregnant. I have dating and viability today so we’ll see.

I am going to be tired forever. Pregnancy tired plus toddler chasing is no joke.

Spent quite a lot of time on her bedroom floor.

Scary thing

Just passed a big bloody clot. Like, golf ball sized. Was that a miscarriage? Waiting for on call doc to call me back but probably headed to ER. Fuck

You don’t have to go to the ER if you don’t want to- there’s nothing they can do, and they might or might not be able to give you an answer and they aren’t really trained for this so sometimes they give wrong info. I didn’t go to the ER when I was passing palm-sized clots and the on call doc told me I only needed to go in if I was having so much bleeding that my own health was threatened.

FWIW I had period-like bleeding during a non IVF pregnancy and had a good outcome. Fingers crossed it’s “just” a subchorionic hemmorhage.

I see you and I am in the waiting place with you.

On call doctor thinks because there was no pain, it was the SCH build up. Unlikely something that large came through cervix without pain and my ultrasounds have been promising this far so he said no ER necessary. Wow my heart rate

What a relief. I’m so glad they were reassuring! When is your next scan?

I don’t think I was supposed to have another one for a bit but maybe they’ll do one at the 12 week appointment now
