Pretty good… i still dont have full feeling in my teeth/gums and my back teeth dont line up like they did. But pain is very low and i can almost chew solid food… so all in all not too bad.

:frowning: bit of not so good news on the above accident. I went to the dentist to make sure there wasn’t anything wrong with my teeth/gums (I still have little feeling in my upper teeth on the injured side) and to maybe get a clue why my teeth don’t match anymore… i.e there is a gap between my back teeth on the injured side. The dentist came in after looking my panoramic Xray and said “I’m sorry but your jaw is broken”… WTF? How was that missed on the CT scans? He showed me the Xray and its as clear as day… Like it stands out like a sore thumb!

So THAT is why my teeth don’t match, my jaw fracture has healed up in the wrong place, allowing my law to rotate so teeth hit on one side bore the other!.. Not happy!

So went back to the ENT’s … we don’t do jaws… We’ll refer you to OHSU and you might get an appointment sometime before the next ice age!.. Sure enough, they are not accepting referrals right now because they are too busy!
I was about to go see someone in Corvallis and pay out of pocket because we got to get some answers here… like does anything need to be done about this?

Thankfully on Friday we got a call from OHSU asking if I could take a cancellation on Dec 26th… Sadly I’m out of town but they did allow me to take the next available appointment on Feb 27th. This is not great but I am not in any pain so I guess I can wait.

I also have a SCUBA diving trip to the Philippines in Early March so I’m assuming I can arrange surgery if required after my trip.

So this little accident is the gift that keeps on giving! I might be back to having my jaw wired…After I have my jaw broken again…:frowning:

Omg ugh!! I feel like you might not want to scuba dive with a broken jaw because of pressure but what do I know

Holy shit!!

well the jaw is actually healed… just in the wrong place. so to fix it means it has to be broken again or sawn in half… Ether way pretty fucking terrible!

So in theory SCUBA is not a problem because its all healed up now… At least I hope not!

Oh no, that’s awful!!!

Oh man, that sucks! I’m sorry.

Thanks guys, Yeah lets see what they say first… I might still not be worth fixing… I mean I’ll probably be dead in another 30 years so my jaw only has to last that long…
