Tuesday: New sage green maxi dress. The fabric is too thin to wear to work if we ever go back to the office, but I like having a maxi that gives me more coverage up top.
Also POCKETS.
I don’t wear anything fun ever now that I’m working from home, but Baby girl is learning to dress herself. Here she’s sporting her brother’s underwear over her own shorts, her brother’s birthday hat, and a single shoe Technically she’s all matchy with her blues, haha.
Too hot. I got home and immediately threw everything I was wearing into the hamper because it was soaked in sweat. The shirt wasn’t a thin enough knit and the shorts ended up making my legs very interesting to bees and other passing bugs. The shoes and earrings were fine!
I prefer maxi dresses because they are usually of a really light fabric that will float around me instead of sticking to me. The length helps block out bugs and also shades my legs.
I wondered that. But also wondered if the white (?) became more translucent if it got damp.
I learned that poplin with spandex shows wet stains like crazy when on a training trip in DC with a coworker ( it looked like she wet her pants, but it was sweat running down her back etc.)
I brushed my hair AND I’m wearing (pajama) pants! Okay, okay, the pants are mainly just cause I want pockets to stick my phone in when I walk around the house getting my 2k steps per day.
How are you getting 2k steps in your house?! I feel lucky if I break 500. (Also I’m a lazy sot and don’t remember to put my phone in my pocket to rack steps)
Small human likes to “play spaceships” which means running from one end of the house to the other, over and over and over. Or lava monster, which is the same game but with more roaring. Also just smaller requests like can he have lunch, snacks, drinks throughout the day. My fitbit counts the steps.
