Objects of Desire

Yeah, found a spider had taken up residence.

So my main Roomba hassles are
Everything has to be off the floor. Bitch can eat a cat toy or a phone charger or library book
And
Weird error where she undicks herself for no reason.

Weird typo. But I’ll leave it. It might explain why she removed herself from the charging station/dock.

Anyway, Roomba was my saviour princess in an apartment alone or with a baby. Pick up cat toys and baby, hit start.

Toddler, husband, relatives who think they can leave stuff in Roomba’s way, mean I have to tidy before I press the button. And after twenty minutes of tidying I can’t handle finding out she’s out of battery.

So. How trustworthy are your family and dog? How committed to a Roomba centric lifestyle are you?

Because I can push duplo away with a cordless vac

OMG yes. I love my robot, but he starts cleaning on his own if we lose power which means I’m finding cords pulled out of walls and the poor baby robot crying because it got tangled in the fringe of my library rug.

Huh. Mine does not start in a power outage. But then I’ve never set up an automated schedule - maybe that’s the difference?

We don’t auto schedule either. No idea why it happens. Mine is an older deebot.

If anyone is in the market for a duvet cover, this one is really nice! I had previously bought one (in taupe) for our future guest room and now it’s on huge clearance. The fabric is great quality.

Facebook had an ad and I guess they know what I want. Apparently Grayers is a good quality brand, but they mostly sell men’s clothes and there’s no info about fit for women. My guess is that I would get S, because most of my jackets are S (I like them fitted, though most of my other clothes are M) but sometimes I have to size up to M.

After shipping and 30% coupon it would be $60 and it’s final sale. My old jacket which looks kinda similar to this is on its last legs and doesn’t reliably button up anymore. It’s great for a light extra layer on chilly summer days.

Seems like a lot of money to spend on something that may not work out. But if it did work out, I’d wear it a lot.

That coat looks like a classic cut and color. But I am always nervous about trying a new-to-me brand on a final sale item.

I found this at Sierra (where I’m placing an order for winter running leggings anyway). It’s not the same jacket but I can order in both S and M and then return in store if it doesn’t work out! I don’t think I can do final sale unless it’s exactly what I want or at least easy to resell!

Ok ok ok ok.
I feel like this is a safe space and this particular thread is just about desire, not actually making a purchase of these objects.
Basically I’m like: “plz don’t attack me for desiring this” :joy:

I went down a rabbit hole on the Sondors Metacycle electric motorcycle, including looking at the tax incentives, looking at the motorcycle license requirements in my state, and generally just a lot of screenshot Ing and sending to my friends so they can tell me how cool I would look on one.
Listen, did I also spend a little bit of time looking at mini motorcycle sheds/garages? I did.
Yeeee

You would look unbearably cool on it.

Right??? And I believe I’d get the 2k rebate if I bought it in 2022. So a brand new motorcycle for $4,000. :cold_sweat::woozy_face::face_with_spiral_eyes::cowboy_hat_face:
