No, and a 1m^2 sandpit is probably not big enough for more than 2 toddlers. I think I’m about to look into how to make them and visiting my uncle to play with his power tools in a couple of months instead.
I want enough storage space to store Duckling’s outgrown clothes as well as our out-of-season toys (e.g. paddle pool). A wall of storage in a closed-in garage would be excellent for this. We don’t have one of those.
You’re wearing BB-8 on your head.
Not an object per se, but I’d really like a professional organiser to come chuck out my stuff for me.
I would like this very specific $110.00 sofa cover for my $50 ikea sofa. Ha.
$160 overall for a sofa you like is pretty good.
Is it? Thanks for the reference.
This is actually the first time in my life I’ve ever owned furniture that wasn’t garbage furniture.
It’s still craigslist/offer up furniture but it’s not directly from the curb or the dump
A Jam funnel.
I love my jam funnel
I’m not sure what specifically I want, but I need a replacement for my purse/bag of holding which is basically a messenger bag but I’d also like for it to be able to be a backpack. The only thing I don’t like about my current bag is how the strap hurts whatever shoulder it’s on if I wear it too long (or if the stuff in my purse could magically weigh less, that’d be dandy). My current bag is developing a hole so I do need to pick a new one at some point.
If there’s something that has the option to put weight on both shoulders, is it just going to be a backpack essentially? Not sure that I want a backpack. Maybe I want Schordinger’s bag which is both a backpack and not a backpack at the same time.
They make backpacks that the straps zip together and it becomes a shoulder bag.
I really want a stand mixer, and I really want an overlocker. I have wanted these items for ages and I’ve caught myself “needing” them for projects really regularly this year… So I think I might finally purchase them.
I know you are in Australia, but in America, Amazon has a really well reviewed overlocker for $200. So they aren’t insanely expensive.
Waterproof clothing.
I have one rain jacket, that I love.
Until last spring I didn’t even need that. Spring has been getting wetter and lasting longer, instead of lots of snow.
Fall historically has been very dry. It’s rained every day for what feels like years now - big fast drops smashing into my skin and soaking my pants and shoes within 20 steps.
I probably should start with just waterproofing a pair of boots with Nikwax.
An over locker will make your sewing much easier and look exponentially more professional on the inside. Plus it is the only way I’ll sew knits - it’s so much easier than zigzagging! Totally worth it for making leggings, skirts, anything unlined really. They are the lord’s machines.
…until you have to thread or tension them. But that’s what YouTube and paid professionals are for.
I want an enormous high-backed armchair that I can read in. Sadly, even if I could find such a thing on Gumtree, there is definitely not space for such a thing in my bedroom or our tiny living room, so I’ll continue to dream of one day having a tiny bit more space.
I posted here a while back about sunscreen. I’ve now found a super fancy one that doesn’t give me breakouts - a miracle!! It’s Mecca To Save Face Superscreen, if anyone wants to know.
After hearing a friend talk about how you can spend all day in the sun in New Orleans without getting sunburnt, I now want a functioning ozone layer, please.
I don’t know anyone who can spend all day in the sun in New Orleans without getting sunburnt. Two hours, maybe, three in winter when the angle is low.
She’s whiter than I am and managed it, last week! Australian sun is much fiercer than American sun, apparently. I am deeply envious.
