Seconding! I never see needing to replace it
I’m not usually brand loyal but I will go out of my way to get OXO stuff for our kitchen tools.
Omg why have I not done this!!!
I know sort of what I want but not a specific object. Does anyone want to help me shop?
I have a Fitbit Inspire 3 and I want something other than the strap it comes with because the strap tends to be the first thing to wear out - with my last one I went through three different (not very expensive) straps before the device itself seemed to be losing battery life. Usually I get basic black. If I could have the same thing that just doesn’t wear out I’d do that. Maybe leather? But then there’s different grades of leather and that’s more research than I have brain space for.
Did you last ones wear out on the band itself, or at the clips where it attaches?
I have the same problem with my charge 4 - the original band wore out. I got this one and I think the elastic type band is a really nice compromise. It’s stretchy, it doesn’t seem to be wearing at all at the connection point, it’s waterproof, and because of the braided? woven? construction it doesn’t have the weird scratchy cheap elastic feeling. Had it for four months so far.
I also got a leather band from another seller and it’s…fine? But definitely less durable at the connection point.
I had one of those bands for my charge 5 and while I LOVED the fit and feel of it, the clip kept coming off
I had to return it after less than a week. The different models have different clip designs though so it may be worth trying and see!
Ahh yeah my original band wore out there too. I think from sweat/water damage. Which is weird considering it’s supposed to be worn 24/7…
@Bracken_Joy that’s a bummer! There are so many tiny differences between the models. I hate the charger plug on mine but at least the clips work.
The default bands really aren’t that great lol, a ton of people have allergic skin reactions to them too. (Me! After whatever external coating wore off I got a really bad abrasion/rash that didn’t heal for a long time after I stopped wearing it, literally took weeks. That’s why I want a replacement band. After it happened I looked online and it’s shockingly common. I haven’t found one I like so for now I’m just wearing it during the day and not tracking sleep at all to reduce risk of reacting again. And cleaning it more often too)
I really like the nylon velcro straps for comfort, washability, and quick drying, and they’re cheap enough I can get a few colors (ex: https://a.aliexpress.com/_msoOrAc) but they’re not very dressy/adult. (I like them partly because I can get it in neon along with black and white lol)
I know some people really like the metal mesh ones, and they don’t irritate my skin like the plastic ones, but the closure is usually magnetic, which may or may not work for your lifestyle.
The back popped off my Fitbit when I went to charge it and now it is finished. They did offer me a 35% off promo code to buy a new one when I complained.
And it’s on sale ish. SO told me if I’m going to wear it more than once to get it. Enabler is what he is!
Might buy this for the nursery. (Although I wonder how many people remember the proceeding line is “Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?” Which is a slightly macabre tone for a nursery, but I still dig it)
Love the colors!!!

Yes we do use our dish washer and I already have a sterilizer/dryer yet I spend too much time washing pump parts after the kids go to sleep.
AnneB just in case you do not know of this yet and your baby is not medically fragile in some way that precludes you–one can keep a set of pump parts in the fridge (like in a wet bag or ziploc) between uses so that one only needs a single set a day!!
