Ok I actually laughed out loud at the Owen Wilson one.
omg
So… I have a new goal in my life on how to use science.
To be fair, they created an electoral system that used proportional representation to give a balance of “state’s voice” and “people’s voice”. They wanted to prevent a single major population center from being able to control the entire country. Kind of like how the house is based on population, but the senate is per state. It wasn’t a bad idea.
Thomas Jefferson corrupted it to increase his chance of winning, by convincing Virginia to go “winner take all” for him.
I actually think electoral college system makes a lot of sense, to balance out the effect of heavy landslides in certain areas from negating other areas with closer counts. I dunno. There’s pros and cons to both sides
I don’t watch much TV so I’ve only seen David Tennant in 2 things (Good Omens and about half an episode of Doctor Who) but now I want to watch Jessica Jones because you’ve reminded me how damn good he is. And I like being scared by fiction.
Also I really liked the actor who played Jessica Jones in Gilmore Girls. I don’t even know why, I just thought she was awesome.
That last one tho…
I literally started cough-laughing at the first one.
