I know this isn’t the joke, haha, but I was pronouncing SO MANY names wrong. Literally like half of them.

So I read them all and my husband listened to them all and it was hilariously rough comparing notes. Especially because “hard” name I just go by vibes it’s like, first letter, last let yer, vibes in the middle. I do this for all books and it is a major character flaw that I have no intention of changing.

But yeah that one made me cackle since he listened to it and I read them

I absolutely do this. I try to pronounce them a few times and then just go by how the name looks, maybe? I talked to my husband and a few friends about the books though, so I needed to actually say names, and I was so very wrong

Haha yes it’s always a moment of reconning when I realize I actually need to commit to figuring out how I think I’ll pronounce “aqasix” too many characters for my usual system of “you know, that guy” to work.
