haha and I just remembered. We replaced the “infotainment” head unit in our car when we bought it to make it feel newer and husband def paid an extra $300 for the model with a real volume knob 
(there were a couple other features that he claims factored in, but I know the truth).

This was one of my criteria when I got my car–things like radio power and volume and any climate control stuff (heat settings, blowers, whatever) had to be actual buttons and knobs. Realistically it’s not like it’s not all run by computers anyway at this point, but at least the screen is one less thing to go wrong.

I hate the lack of knobs on my super old Prius. Like, whose idea was it to make you look at something while driving rather than just learning knob location and being able to do it with eyes on the road?! Seems unsafe.
