Do I get bonus points if I literally lived in the house that hosted the parties and was bartender at parties for said jungle juice?

Come to think of it, living in a co-op with 60 other 18 year olds really does an excellent job of fortifying an immune system…

Yes pls, because then I also get bonus points

Do bonus points get you the vaccine quicker?

Slower, I would imagine. Bonus points are maybe a terrible bonus.

I finally understand what people mean when they talk about “the economy.”

I am currently justifying the cleaning lady upstairs not due to my laziness but that it helps “the economY”.

Now I need a new excuse to not clean my own house.

I would encourage you to see this as your ability to intelligently outsource things because it’s a pandemic in which you are working full time, doing an MBA, and parenting 2 tiny humans.

Well, that’s why I let my house be a mess.
The "why I should let someone else clean it is “I have a job, and if I don’t spend money a lot of other people don’t.”

You may not be helping rich people’s yachts, but you’re directly helping the cleaning lady herself–helping her pay her bills, feed her kids, buy holiday gifts, whatever she does with the money. That’s always where I get disconnected with “but the economy!!!11!1”–where are the actual people being helped/harmed? You see the actual person directly.

Oh, I know this.
But she’s just going to spend it at grocery stores and amazon where the owners have yachts.

There is no ethical consumption under capitalism.

You’re adding an additional local money cycle before they go into the void. I count that as a victory.
