There is a sticker maker that even I want
It probably does make clutter tho lol

Box of doughnuts. Seriously like 6 each. Parents might be annoyed at you but only for 3 days max.
Washi tape, stickers, notebooks
Puzzles
I’d just go to a bookstore or stationary store. At a bookstore let staff pick.
Seriously would be the most epic Christmas present! Screw my earlier “gift card to donuts” idea, immediacy is much better.
That reminds me, we gave a book + a box of fried chicken to nephew, 13 years old at the time. It was from a place he asked to go to every time he visited us and he didn’t stop talking about the gift for ages.
My 4 year old negotiates stealing part of my washi tape every time I use it. He’s started to catch on that I am giving him my least favorite tape and keeps asking for the pretty ones…
Also agree that art supplies are my go to gift across ages. I like getting things like paper, paint pens, watercolor etc that arent just restocks of crayons and markers.
I also tried to teach myself calligraphy as a kid, so a book + practice pen would also be a fun older gift.
Nice watercolor paper is so much better to work wi than than printer paper, to go with a nicer water color set. Versus cheap crayola ones. Makes a big difference for not that big a price for a gift!
I keep eyeing those Prismacolor colored pencils too! The crayola ones are constantly breaking and hard to sharpen.
Best watercolour set for cheap is this one. Colours are vibrant and good enough to mix:
If link doesnt work: micador for artists, 12 pack, specifically the white plastic disc. The black base ones arent as good.
Yoto evangelists: would you say it’s worth it before age 3? I really like the idea of it but am wondering if we should wait (she’s almost 2 now).
I just bought one and Ravioli is 2. I can let you know lol. He loves (and has loved for how whole life) the musical books where you push the little dots and they sing? So I figure, this is the next step. I anticipate he might have trouble using it at first but he’s getting the twist motion down
Depends on the kid but mine wasn’t interested until age 3.
Latte got it for Christmas just past 2, and used it lightly before 3. Needed help turning things on, shorter attention span. Loved her custom music card we made though because she could put on her favorites card without help (couldn’t switch to specific tracks without help though). So yes, she got use out of it, but not nearly as much as after three
a house?
I think this is duplos - a younger version of Legos.
ohhh thank you that makes more sense
I have renovations on the brain, the fingers just autocomplete the wrong letter.
What are suggestions for Yoto Mini cards?
What’s your kid like? I honestly do almost all make your own cards with recordings of me reading her library books. But she’s currently loving the Boxcar Kids she got for her birthday.
That’s a great idea! He likes basically anything we read together.
I just use the voice recorder app and then they’re easy to upload on the app.
