How to support the animal cause?

Hi,

I would like to support an organisation defending the animals (domestic or wildlife, no preference), but I am lost because there are so many of them and some have quite questionable methods.

What are your favourites orgs?
There are lots of animal lovers here, I am sure you will have some recommendations :wink:

I am based in France so I am looking for international or French/European ones.

One of my favorite international orgs for supporting farmed animals is Mercy for Animals: https://mercyforanimals.org/

They do a lot of investigative journalism around factory farming and work for legislation that helps the living environment of farmed animals.

I know less about domestic rescue orgs or wildlife orgs in France, though.
