Get out of the house! Photo scavenger hunt so we don't all go crazy (or crazier)

Out of place

People have been leaving painted rocks all over the park.

Animals in odd places

We did hear an owl, but only saw these

Not sure about having a horse head over the garage door, but it seems to be taking it with equinimity (sorry not sorry)

The one time I went to the closed cherry blossom park in season I was underwhelmed because I’d seen rogue trees like this one before and appreciated them. And crowds of selfie takers ruined the closed park.

Also, imagine living in the apartments literally across from that park, with small sidewalks, and then they close your park? Very offensive

The only time I went to that park I was a week too early so it was both crowded and underwhelming.

But dinosaurs are never underwhelming

Something old:

These horse rings are original to old Portland. We have an ordinance that requires they be reinstalled whenever the curbs are redone. The stamps with road names are also redone, and all misspellings are preserved

Not to theme but some things I saw today and yesterday. People remaking the world.

I mostly took pictures of houses that I wonder if I want to use as inspiration for a hypothetical renovation.

But these places made me smile for different reasons.

Pretty much everybody does, right? No gargoyles here, but we have a couple of Green Men. (Green Mans?)

Old rebar- this peninsula is mostly construction infill and now is a bird sanctuary.

(Will the next thing be something borrowed? How on earth would that be conveyed in a picture?)

Something old(ish) and something new - a restaurant that’s been around for thirty years and their new picnic tables to expand their outdoor seating. The covered area is ‘outdoor’ seating but not really fresh air outdoors, more correctly it would just be not-indoor.

(whoopsies wrong thread!)

I love this thread btw. I keep leaving my phone at home while walking the dogs and then regret it because I see a perfect opportunity…then forget again next time.

I’ve struggled with the “out of place” prompt. Finally came up with this tree stump. I know it is not in its original place because it is upside-down.

And something new: a house

I think I’m all caught up now!
