Ok, nothing good to report. As a kind of excuse I have a bad cold, starting 3 days ago. But anyways, I have to start!

Well, no news here

Okay, 20 minutes left in December 2024, and no, nothing done.
I have to find out why an easy task creates this big hurdle.

It has to be done in January

remaining items that will get done next year:

• call/email 2-3 notaries and get quotes for will - made a list of people to email for quotes
• start sampling washed fleece
• pick a quilt pattern
• change closet doors - hopefully this weekend
• paint hall - two coats done and it looks pretty good, so I’m just going to do touch ups tomorrow

Final check-in. Didn’t do everything, but it was a pretty ambitious list, even without the turbulence of this month. At least this provided obvious fodder for my 2025 bingo card I’ll take it.

Done this week:

• Take photos/videos of inside for insurance

Done previously:

• Finish removing leaves in backyard
• Finish putting steel wool in old mouse holes
• Measure existing backyard garden beds for planning
• Exterior caulking
• Get gutter installed on new front porch roof
• Sand, prime, and paint new front porch posts (and buy remaining supplies needed)
• Bonus: Even more caulking
• Bonus: Put new license plates on car

Partially Done:

• Finish digging up rocks and landscape fabric in front yard
• Dig up rocks and landscape fabric in at least 1 backyard garden bed

To Do:

• Attempt to install weatherstripping on small garage door
• Install garage gardening tool rack
• Actually set up the water leak detector sensor I bought ages ago
• Touch up paint in bathroom
• Clean cold air return vents

Final Update:

• go through MacBook Pro and delete duplicate photos. - Never even started.
• go through music on MacBook Pro and delete duplicate music there. started going through music and stalled. I think I have deleted all the duplicates, but want to double check. I never checked this.
• sort through all my old user IDs and passwords. Figure out what’s good and what isn’t. Close all accounts I’m no longer using…if possible. - Still on the “B”s in my password app. Only 450 more passwords to check out! Never did anything more on this.
• watch the courses I’ve downloaded in the past. Great Courses. - Finished watching “Celtic World”. On lecture 29/36 of “How to Look at & Understand Great Art”. Hoping to finish it by December 31st. Discovered I can’t access my Udemy courses. Will have to look for an updated password somewhere. Watching a Craftsy course on Mediterranean cooking. Finished the “Mediterranean Cooking” course and the “Celtic World” course, but not “How to Look at & Understand Great Art”.
• write blog posts for my Ko-fi site. Done!
• finish reading “The Alden Amos Big Book of Handspinning”! It truly is a big book! Done!
• enjoy Christmas! Done!

Well it’s a start! I definitely bit off more than I can chew. I will be expanding on this list and continuing into 2025 with it.

Well, I got some more done on classes yesterday, but then today it was bright and sunny and nearly 70°, and I spent the day playing outside with the dogs and working in my greenhouse. Not sorry. Got enough done.

The key has been to create items that are actually achievable… this feels okay! Happy New Year all!

I didn’t do much. I am unmotivated to clean the fridge and oven but I need to do this before going back to work on Jan 6th!

Finally sorted enough room in store room for ebike, still a bit to go in terms of getting stuff out of the store and garage but it gets a tick as the bike fits! Got to keep the momentum going for January now!
