Hm, look up late blight to see if its a match.

(Other possibles: early blight, botrytis)

Crap, I think late blight is right. Gonna pull the plant so it doesn’t spread.

Boooo! Sorry it got it! :frowning:

Looks like the blight got in by the tear between the leaf and stem in the top right of the pic.

Yep, my bad. It’s hard to prune some of these, too many other tomatoes in the way.

A mail package of Russian Comfrey v. Bocking 14 root cuttings arrived today. I’d ordered seven pieces but eight turned up, to be fair, one looks pretty munted, so I’ll be lucky if it survives. I’ve popped them individually into 5" pots to see what happens.

PNW PSA that the bees are on the clover in force! Yesterday I went out barefoot and got stung on the bottom of my right foot. Today I went out barefoot and got stung on the bottom of my left foot :joy:

I suppose it’s unkind of me that my first thought was “quit walking on clover! We don’t have enough bees!!” I’m sorry that “oh my gosh, that must’ve hurt, I’m so sorry!” was only my second thought.

Another mail package arrived today, from an orchard in NSW, and it contains some rooted cuttings of Boysenberry and Raspberry - variety Bogong, almost thornless, autumn fruiting. These were sent to me as thanks for supplying some excess Poblano chilli plants I had last year.

I’m out of potting mix, so looks like I’m off to #thebiggreenshed this week :innocent:

Collected radish seeds today. The first batch I hulled is enough to do a couple sequential crops for us, and I have about that many to shell out left, so I’m sending some to my parents. I’ll have more getting ready in a few days and still have plants flowering, so I should be able to supply them and us for fall and at least the first crop next year.

I found a volunteer tomato plant growing in the backyard near the compost bin! It’s too shady there for it to thrive, but it does look very healthy. It’s about a foot tall but not flowering.

OH COME ON. Fucking potatoes. I wish I had let them die months ago.

My spring plants were kind of hit or miss, so I want to be more organized for fall. Does anyone have a recommendation for an almanac or website that will tell me when to start planting fall crops for my zone?

I ordered the last fruit tree I wanted (Mariposa Plum) and some pea seedlings in the hopes the snails tummies are full of all the other they ate.

An apple tree and the nectarine are flowering but I’m pulling most off since they need more time to establish.

That, my friends, is a full frame of honey!
