If the temps are still hanging out near 100, my gourds do not come out. We are still in lemonade season.
Anneke does this thing where if she’s sleeping on top of my stereo and I call out her name, she’ll flick her tail to acknowledge me. It’s sooooooooo cute.
I found the video!
Fairrr. I don’t know how seasons work down in the tropics.
This one is accurate
This one is not accurate. Not sure if we’re at “summer, wishing it was winter” or “still summer”. “Summer again” is next month at the earliest, hopefully we won’t be getting daily heat advisories by then.
As far as planting seasons go, looking at my gardening book we can start seeds in either March/April for August harvest (I think that’s very optimistic about the humidity and mold/fungus issues) or start in July/August for harvest around new years. We do have “pumpkin patches” in October but those are entirely imported, already cut from the vine type pumpkins.
this is so dang cute
I do not actually consider it to be decorative gourd season here yet. Next month. It’s only wishful thinking
Oh we are definitely in Still Summer. Won’t be Summer Again until October at least.
That’s actually a common issue. New Zealand is missing from so many world maps, they’re like the Gen X of countries!
It’s so common there is a Wikipedia page.
I can’t access the entire article, but I think we should all eat ice cream. FOR SCIENCE.
