I just got contact info from a new parent at daycare today, and it showed up on my phone as South Dakota. We had a nice little conversation about how we’ve both kept our phone numbers from our very first cell phones in our early 20s
OMG, the cell phone thing.
My cell phone is from Ohio, a state I lived in for about 18 months. But that was in the age where you couldn’t keep your number if you changed carriers and our Texas service wasn’t good in Ohio (when service used to vary widely by who covered what area.) Then we moved to Iowa and you were allowed to keep your number.
I wish I still had one of my Texas numbers (I think I had 3); but I don’t even remember what they were. (I remember my 2 landlines from where I grew up; but not any of my college ones.)
A lawyer friend of mine knows of a golden retriever at a house near his office. The dog belongs to a family with a stay at home mom and at least one small child. My friend is now friends with that family and takes the dog for walks sometimes when he needs a break because work is being too much.
That’s called community building.
Yeah, that tracks.
I’m suddenly craving hash browns.
I am glad they didn’t just release it. Sometimes the frogs or other passengers aren’t well suited for the region they’re in, and of course store employees wouldn’t know.
We saw many like that in the frontenac area, and one at an escarpment park yesterday, maybe the lettuce is growing them
