I saw a woman smoking while wearing a respirator yesterday in her car. Not 100% sure how that was working. Times are very, very weird.

Do you and @anomalily know how to hone? I’ve been amazed how long my fairly cheap knives go between sharpening now that I’ve got in the habit of regularly honing with a steel.

Lol, that reminds me of how my French professor in college used to joke that people who smoked breathed better than non-smokers in our college’s very polluted rust belt town because they at least had filters.

…yes indeed I do lol. We hone for maintenance and use a whetstone for manual sharpening. We’re very, very particular about our knives we bring our own whenever we travel even.

Do you have a kitchen travel bag? Because I need one, but the ones I see are hella expensive.

Nope. I want one. I just wrap paper towels and then use scotch tape to make a sleeve for travel. You can reuse those a shockingly long time. And then our kitchen stuff travels in a rigid plastic tote.
