Did @DrivingMomBlog watermark her tweet with the wrong @ tag?
I guess it looks that way? It’s not someone I follow. Hell I’m not even on Twitter.
Thermomix, ridiculously overpriced cooking machine
I believe they are useful for certain people with disabilities. They’d be a lot more useful to everyone if they were cheaper.
I have friends who are using it daily and tried it out. You need a high level of hand strength to get the pot into right space and securely operated. I failed.
Here in Germany there are cheaper ones available. My brother has the Lidl one which is around 400 Euro I think. Sometimes I think there are a kind of status symbol.
Australia also has cheaper versions from aldi
But almost everyone I know who has a thermomix or cheaper version uses them heaps for a month or two and then hardly uses them.
Seems like everything made for people with disabilities is over priced.
The disabled are known for having more money than others, right?
The truth hurts my soul.
It sounds like an ultra advanced instapot. So maybe it is good for people with energy linked disabilities but not hand strength ones.
I knew what it was because I used to follow an Australian blogger who made recipes in hers all the time and I had to convert them to cheap people recipes - but it was fascinating to see the step by step and I thought it was the coolest thing ever (this was before Instant Pot was available in the US and the only person I knew with an electric multi cooker brought it here from another continent).
ETA voice to text really brings out the run-on sentence in me
My coworker narrated this to me yesterday and their voice for the bee had me giggling all day
