Yeah this is me and my family, lol.
This is 100% me. I feel bad that people are struggling with being at home but my life is exactly the same in terms of daily routine. Existential dread is higher though.
Oh no. Clearly people are so desperate in their WFH struggles they’re dressing up trees as coworkers.
Here’s my contribution for the morning:
OH MY GOD, YOU JUST MADE ME REALIZE THAT WE BOUGHT A CASE OF WINE SEVERAL MONTHS AGO AND PUT IT IN THE BASEMENT AND FORGOT ABOUT IT.
WE COULD LEGIT DO THIS.
Okay but that’s actually a terrifying thought
I mean, all docs know how to do them. You learn in medical school, get refreshers any time you do your ACLS renewals. Id just prefer we not have to test any docs coming out of retirement or going cross fields on their technique
(And honestly, intubation is actually pretty easy if airways aren’t swollen/damaged. We learned it in nursing school even. Don’t mean to spread fear, just a healthcare worker dark humor moment!)
Yeah… it’s the “it’s been a while” part. (I also had a panic attack last week after a non specialist interaction with something that really could have used a specialist, so I’m very sensitive to it at the moment.)
I think it’s funny in the same way that using a veterinarian for primary health care in The Walking Dead is funny. Like “hahahahahahaha … haha …ha … but no really, we’ll probably be fine. Probably.”
Although I think the joke would be funnier if it said proctologist. Because butts.
What’s feeding my faith in humanity today is all the tweets of people praising teachers for their hard work. Hilarious and also a needed reminder, I think.
