And she does this in MI where it gets a gazillion degrees below zero just like for us. Right now she’s worried that the lambs are not going to survive the single digit temps. Her tales of shearing sheep are enough to make me run screaming!

Oh god yeah MI. The people I follow are in NC – much easier for keep lambs alive!
Move to the woods, have chickens and goats, trade with local alpaca and sheep farmers for wool to knit with.

LOL, I am from southern New England, and I wouldn’t consider it to have 6 months of winter. I am considering NH (MAYBE) once I figure my shit out. It will be secure once the water wars start…

Currently reviewing house & land prices for large blocks and small farms out near my grandparents farm. The weather and schools are shit but a tiny town and complete social isolation is vaguely tempting right now (as are the prices, we could afford one of these even standing empty and being useless as a family holiday home…)
