I got the flu vaccine with my last booster last november, and I will get it together this time as well. Sometimes other vaccines might have waiting periods? I don’t know. I’d probably just ask the pharmacist.

I did the same last November and will again with the next one. The pharmacist said it was fine to do.

Well that was a rough 2-ish weeks. Wish I could have made it to the bivalent booster, but at least I’m mostly recovered and theoretically “boosted” for a minute. I had terrible reactions to the previous vaccine doses + booster so really going to try and maximize my length before the next dose.
My experience for anyone who cares:
Summary
Almost definitely was exposed during flights from CT->FL even though I was masked with a KF-94 for the whole duration minus food/drink. Slight symptoms started ~60-65 hours after exposure. Got very bad around +72 hours and stayed bad (couldn’t move from bed) for another 72 hrs. Since then day-by-day improvement from cough/congestion/weakness/brain fog. As a severe asthmatic not a bad cough all things considered. DW unfortunately got exposure the night before I started showing symptoms so is almost exactly 2.5 day behind me despite an attempt at isolation. Worse throat/cough, better congestion and cognition.

We, all three of us, miraculously seem to have not gotten it again in spite of our massive exposure. Serial testing on husband and I, none on tot, no symptoms for any of us. Husband and I were vaccinated and had a booster end of last year, Tot has had zero Covid shots, all of us had it Jan or Feb. amazed we made it through unscathed.

I have had 2 shots and 2 boosters.
Pfizer, Pfizer, Pfizer, Moderna.
Which updated booster should I get this time? Moderna, since I have been mostly Pfizer up until now?
This would matter less if I didn’t have to drive way farther to get Moderna instead of going to the Walgreens right down the street. Considering I want to do it before work this is an issue. So if it’s OK to get Pfizer that’d be way easier.
I haven’t found any guidance on this yet, still looking.
ETA: It appears am unable to get Moderna before work; it looks like they don’t start taking appointments at that pharmacy until 9:30. So that plus longer drive to the Moderna pharmacy may mean we just go with Pfizer; the bad side effects are way more manageable for me with a morning shot vs an after-work shot.

From what I’ve been reading, they are pretty similar. Moderna is 50 mcg vs Pfizer 30 mcg, so may have slightly higher efficacy. You’ve already mixed and matched so have gotten that benefit. I went with Moderna because they’ve had higher efficacy in the past and because I’m still mad a Pfizer for their bungling of the pediatric trials, but there isn’t really data yet to say one is definitively better than the other. All we know is they’re both safe

Adventures in booster seeking: I looked online to get a booster and flu shot (might as well get the misery over with all at once). Yesterday CVS didn’t have any same day appointments but seemed to have a lot of options near me later in the week. Today I’m looking and there’s only two places and neither of them are near me. Publix pharmacy was like “lol no” which is honestly not surprising. Walgreens seems to have spots but their questionnaire is still set up to assume that there’s only the initial two-dose shot and one booster ever so when I put that I’ve already had a booster it said I was all caught up and didn’t need another one, never mind that the booster I had was before Thanksgiving last year.

Huh. That’s weird, my red-state Walgreens happily let me book. I’m older than you though so maybe that’s why, we geezers need ALLLL of the shots, ALLL of them.

Do you have a Costco near you? You don’t have to be a member to use their pharmacy and that’s where I got my shot last weekend. It’s walk-in.

I also booked at Walgreens, no problem. 
Lots of appointments available. I scheduled it for the end of next week, so we’ll see if it sticks.

I know I should get the vaccine but I am confused and overwhelmed by trying to figure out what I need and how to get it and how to schedule a day to have a 102 fever afterwards

My state’s guidance still says that only people 50+ or with compromised immune systems can get a second booster. But it looks like CVS would let me schedule it even though I don’t meet those criteria. Though, since I had covid pretty recently, it would probably be fine for me to wait a few more weeks for my state to catch up to the CDC.

Whoa that is so weird, this is the third booster for many in my state and it is saying 12+ on Walgreens, cvs, and Walmarts websites here

Update: I have gone through the booking flow on three websites now and no appts available at CVS Walgreens and Walmart unless I go 20 miles each way, which is not happening. BUT two blocks away is a walk in only local pharmacy and they say they have the booster. So now I need to figure out timing around life since I spike high fevers every time.
It has been almost a year since my last vaccine, but I had Covid in may.
