Around here, CVS has them locally in stores, but they’re sold out online. Maybe because everyone around here believes the virus is a hoax, of course…
I will have my booster on Wednesday.
In Germany you get as a booster shot Mderna if you are over 30 years of age and Pfizer if you are under.
So I expect Moderna after two times Pfizer.
Another testing site opened near to me. What I like about this one is that they offer a rapid test, whereas the place I usually go only offers a PCR test for free unless you pay an exorbitant fee for the rapid test. Yes I know, PCR is more accurate, but waiting days to get results is also not great.
I have no reason to suspect I have Covid (other than pandemic and really high numbers in my area). I do like to get tested before I see my parents and parents-in-law. The new rapid test site requires an insurance card if the person is insured; the PCR test place does not ask for insurance at all. As per health department, tests are free at the new place.
I have kept evidence of the information about the test being free AND the information that evidence that I was required to provide my insurance card. I’m slightly concerned that I’m later going to get a bill for this free test.
Covid exposure at daycare on 12/9. My kid has a fever and a gross, gross cold. Seems like it finally hit us.
Not using the like button on this as I don’t like it. So sorry.
that sucks.
Oh hell. Fingers crossed it’s just a cold and if not it’s over quick.
Can we do anything? Have food/meds…etc delivered?
Hugs to you and Meowlet. Whatever the cause of his cold symptoms, I hope your sweet kiddo gets well soon!
So sorry, hopefully it is getting better soon
Thinking of you. When will you get results?
Thanks dude. I don’t think so. Just hoping our little dudes immune system kicks major ass.
Going in for PCR tomorrow. So Tues or Weds I reckon.
Awwww, crap, sorry to hear this.
Oh no!
Feel better soon, Meowlet!!
Booo I’m sorry!!
Ughhhh. Get well soon, I hope it passes quickly.
Not sure how I feel about this but it’s a question I’ve been asking.
I have been asking this too.
I’m crowdsourcing travel decisions. Just got back from my first post-covid international trip on Saturday. Re-entry to the US was easy, did a online proctored rapid test within 24 hours. Found restrictions decent there (Finland) masks on transit and most places indoors, covid passes required/checked for restaurants, etc - but some things were closed that would’ve been nice to have open as a tourist (outdoor rinks, etc).
I’m supposed to go to Denmark in 2 weeks for New Years’. Flight and hotels are booked, but refundable. Do you think I should cancel? Denmark is at Level 4 US state dept warning (“do not travel”) and under new “mild” lockdown right now (bars/restaurants closing at midnight).
You probably won’t be shocked to hear I would cancel, but I’m actually thinking of travel-related reasons more than Covid ones - I think more things in Europe are going to be closing/ lockdowns will be ramping up in the next couple weeks. Also there could still be more restrictions on flying to “do not travel” countries, or worst case, even returning from them.
