I think it is. Our icus are slammed and they are starting to play pass the patient between hospitals. The nurses are wiped. And we are still waiting for the full storm. I hope we get more vaccinations into arms and I keep just being a blob and sometimes hiking and that the collective trauma is tolerable

I got tested today. Sore throat, fatigure, headache (always…), and a phlegmy cough.
I am almost certain I have a cold. Because I have children in daycare. And they bring home everything, and then I get it.
But it seems irresponsible to not know for sure.

Covid free! Just a cold.
Apparently we have the quickest PCR tests in the country… 5 hours to get my results. Coworker in chicago told me it takes 3+ days…he’s had 4 tests due to his wife’s job.
(I also found out my husband has the patent on 2 ‘parts’ of the PCR tests the US uses.)

I have flu like symptoms and am at work, so have had my covid test and been put into isolation in my room.
They have dropped food off to me, but its penne pasta and chickpea tagine so I think I will just order pizza.

What the fuck? Covid isn’t about dirty or clean. It is airborne. These schools have poor ventilation and it’s too cold to open the windows. What does this even mean, do they have an “innate sense” of how much covid aerosol is in their classroom too? FFS.
