Idk how I missed this but I love this idea. I have been holding off on buying new clothing til I have a better idea of my body shape post-nursing. I have more than I need and no big events for the remainder of 2023. (I would make an exception for the thrift store.)
I’m on holiday and spending enough for both of us and then some.
No regrets whatsoever.
Are you saving these items in like a Pinterest list or something so you can come back to them if they’re still haunting you next month? I do that sometimes, and I mostly find that the shine wears off with time.
i have them open on tabs on my phone … ha, my version of pinterest
the only thing i find myself still really wanting several days later is that bralette/bike shorts set. i have problems finding cute bras/bralettes for my ginormous boobs. but they will likely still be in stock in a few weeks should i decide i still really want them!
Going for my theatre weekend away
Rather than pulling food out of the freezer for the shadowy one and setting up chopped veg etc, instead I told them they have a budget this weekend to go to the movies and eat out.
We are reliably at 1 takeaway night per week. At least working week. Weekends may be an extra takeaway. This feels good. Next up: tidy up our cafe trips so we really enjoy them when we do go.
Continuing to pin clothing instead of buy!
It is not July, and after a big outing my uber eats dinner seemed v inline with my values!
ahh i suppose i should report back! i did … okay! i ended up paying money to go see beyoncé in detroit (and treated my friend to go, too, because i was going to treat her to the concert in pittsburgh and i really wanted to experience it with her).
then beyoncé was so incredible that i decided to go see her again, and bought that ticket, plus reserved a hotel room.
i did end up buying 2 dresses during the month, as well, because the sales were good and my spirit was weak.
so i ended up spending less on clothes / books / art supplies / etc. than i usually do … but i spent it all on beyoncé experiences instead. oh well! i have no regrets.
