The hand audit they just finished doesn’t count as an official recount, so now that it’s certified, the Trump campaign can request one and waste more time.

I don’t care for romance novels (I don’t think…?) but this is AWESOME.
I talked to Kid-2 and daughter-in-law yesterday. They confirmed that they still haven’t received their ballots where they’re stationed in Italy. They haven’t managed to get ballots on time for any election in the 3 years they’ve been overseas. Disenfranchisement of military voters is a big problem.

To be fair…lots of people have died for democracy, and as a veteran I have definitely spent my fair share of time contemplating being called to defend it.
If there actually existed a huge conspiracy that was stealing the election, I can see this point of view. I don’t find it terrifying that people feel that way about truth and democracy. I do find it terrifying that they are buying into THIS false narrative, and being encouraged in this vein by the party leaders.

The Republican Party of Arizona KNOWS there is no fraud.
They are trying to rally people to die to prevent a legitimate election’s result.
