I mean, I would have moved the pieces for you if you’d asked.
Wait, where did I say I’d go up against Brute?
Election officials have repeatedly said there’s no basis to these fraud claims, so it’s just sour grapes that they lost, right? They are all just starting to look ridiculous, which isn’t the way I would think they’d want to be remembered? Unless… they are hoping to continue in their jobs and their constituents will be impressed by this bad behavior and vote them in again?
All the figures I’ve ever seen on voter fraud (including mail ballots) is that, yes, it exists, but it’s like 0.0004% of all ballots so not actually relevant to an outcome
I’ve seen that also. I’m a little dumbfounded that they keep ranting about it?
Because in the reality distortion field of conservative media they’ve been terrified of voter fraud for decades now and most R voters believe it’s a serious issue because those are the only facts they know. (And they’ve been trained, again for decades, to believe the mainstream media is lying.)
I had not considered this aspect of Trump refusing to concede:
Yesterday I had to use my boss’ office for something, and he unfortunately has Rush Limbaugh on all the time, so I unfortunately listened to it. I am really worried that some Trump supporters are going to do something violent. I feel like the Republicans not conceding the election and far rightwing entertainers like Limbaugh are inciting violence. I’m not sure what will happen.
I will probably delete this later, but this is the agency I work for and it makes me insanely angry that this woman is doing this.
I actually thought she was going to be prosecuted for lying to congress under oath a year or so ago and that just kind of died down. FBI was supposed to get an entirely new office in the suburbs and we were going to dispose of their current office building. It looked like the building would be likely be purchased and turned into a hotel as part of the disposal process and it would be a competing hotel with Trump’s hotel, right next door. That project had been planned for years and had been funded by congress. She had a private meeting with Trump after she was appointed and then she cancelled the project. Around a year ago (if I remember correctly) this came to the surface and she lied to congress and said she did not discuss the project with Trump and the decision was made for completely different reasons. Then there were emails published that showed her meeting with Trump was about this project and he told her to cancel the project.
Florida continues to Florida. Our Trump wanna-be governor is trying to make it legal for people to kill others suspected of rioting or looting. Also make it a felony to be part of a protest.
And, if I read that right, make drivers who cause hit & run deaths to not be charged if they can claim the other person was “protesting”?!
You read that correctly. This is straight up horrifying.
From our ABC’s live blog of the US election on why they aren’t keeping up to date with everything Trump says and does:
I’m not bringing you folks every tweet because quite frankly it’s not responsible to spread misinformation and you know where to find it if you want to see it.
I have been wondering if Trump would become involved in Florida politics post presidency.
Republicans have repeatedly said they can’t win if they let everyone vote.
So… this thought brought to you by The Guardian:
The film 537 Votes, the 2000 election pretty much has one message: Democrats’ refusal to sound a clear alarm about the slow-motion heist in process ultimately is what led to the Bush “victory.”
Are we going through this again?
I’d say we’re more edging towards a strange military-less coup. You see what happened to SecDef, and the 2 deputy secretaries?
Well, that’s a questionable move.
We’re frankly terrified over here. Did you see or hear Milley’s speech at the army museum opening?
I did not see what happened to the two deputy secretaries. But is this any different than how he’s been handling the whole administration the last four years? Gutted positions and did not reappoint.
