this 4 feels much better, probably because 3 and 4 were equally plausible. granted #2 was fishing, but it got so much info. perhaps I should adjust my first phrase to have two operators?

On the Dordle I used a new strategy not to just guess words where I only need one letter left, but to guess entire words to yield more clues. Good thing I did that because otherwise I’m sure I would have failed by wasting guesses!

it is a lot easier when you have only two digits to find, and you know the answer to the equation. 
Summary
amusingly that all but one of the numbers (the 0) were the ones identified in the first attempt, and then I tried to check for more digits in the next two attempts.
