But the president can’t negotiate to acquire Greenland if Greenland is renamed to Red, White, and Blueland…

At least it sounds like this particular bill is dead, but JFC

This is fake, right?

Sadly, no…

Okay maybe I’ll just choose another continent with better news than the Americas, Europe or Asia. Maybe Antartica.

He can get permission to negotiate but Greenland has said they’re not interested so I’m not sure what the point is. Other than assholes being assholes?

To make imaginary reasons to invade.

To convince dumb dumbies who think US bills apply outside of the US that the US is right?

All the ME stories this week are like “Israel says they are agreeing to wipe out Palestine” ummmm who is agreeing with you Israel? Many of your own citizens are disagreeing, please stop the war crimes

It’s real but it’s mainly just people showing off to Great Leader and hoping for attention from him. That’s what I’m telling myself anyway.

I never had a high opinion of most of these people but man the sucking up that’s happening now is mind boggling.

I read yesterday that he ordered Sweden to end all DEI programs.
Ordering another nation?

His disregard for the sovereignty of other nations is rude and is badly damaging America’s international standing.

I think/hope the embassies are doing malicious compliance. Or idiotic compliance - the embassies aren’t allowed to buy from anyone with a DEI policy

I read that when they met, Carney repeated yet again that Canada will never join the US. Trump’s reply was “never say never!” He’s just despicable.

And Carney mouthed never never never

Almost every theatre company I’ve ever worked for has launched some kind of emergency fundraising campaign this calendar year, and it’s only May :grimacing::sob:

My org is starting to explore private fundraising when we were 100% grant funded before. It is balls.

Not sure what I did yesterday (or possibly how I slept last night), but my lower back has decided to commit mutiny. Standing up straight or lying flat is fine, the whole sitting/bending thing…yeah, no.

I’ve been awake since 3am. I can only assume the confluence of perimenopause, and the first time I’ve had pizza in several months, are to blame.

Stuff is finally getting undeniable enough that my mom and dad have decided to have my dad go in for an Alzheimer’s screening. His dad lived with us the last few years of his life until he died when I was in 7th grade, so I’ve already had a front row seat to Alzheimer’s once before. I also now know my husband has incredibly high genetic risk for Alzheimer’s, top 2% of all people. (I have one copy of the same gene, too. Our poor children).

I would like off this ride, please.
