Small Things You Did Today to Reduce Your Environmental Impact

I really love mine, all promos from events that we’ve been to and that my parents have been to. I think water tastes better out of them. I did just throw one away because it became strangely discolored in a way I couldn’t explain and I decided I wasn’t sure I wanted to keep drinking out of that. But all the rest are fine!

I’m going hard on buy nothing and local mom’s groups lately. Now my first instinct is to check BN or ask for things I need instead of buying something new. I also love giving stuff away on BN, it feels like someone is actually going to use it instead of goodwill that will probably just throw the things away.

It took me a long time to find my BN group. It’s not technically “Buy nothing”. The page is called “everything is free CityName”.

I realize I now have the luxury of time to search for items in this way but I’m really excited for BN as the default before purchasing.

You will understand when you stop by my house while the toilet paper in on the back of the toilet. The holder broke off the wall and I want to source one secondhand but BN didn’t come through and I haven’t had time to hit the ReStore.

Me too, especially if it’s a bit of a niche item or not particularly nice!

Made up 1/2 gallons of sun tea. Apple mint and black tea. Will save on the microwave usage and heating the house up/cooling it down.

I found an interesting series on YouTube called What Do I Do With This? It’s from Nine PBS, which seems to be in St. Louis.

Anyway, there’s an episode on electronics and one on clothing, and one on furniture. Very informative!

I drank less coffee in a smaller mug. I was adding decaf so I can drink more but this is just the caffeine part.

I found this website today and looked at what my “foodprint” is and that started me thinking about what I could do to do… better.
