And why are replacement heads like $7 to $10?

Don’t get the quip. It was poorly reviewed by one of my dentists

Wizard had a Quip and no longer has one.

I had one for a year plus before my dentist told me to get a “real one” lol. Too bad bc they are so cute and easy to travel with

Oral B is better than Sonicare. Brushes are expensive, I sometimes get them from eBay for cheaper!

Yes and sadly you very much want to get the legit brand ones. The knock offs break down way, way faster. Again, way cheaper at Costco. I pick them up when the giant packs are $40 at Costco.

Thanks for the travel insurance recommendation and the reminder about spring break in Miami during that time. I’ll check into the insurance mentioned.

Next question: I will fly in a day before my cruise leaves, and looking around it seems that there is a free trolley that goes to the port, among other places. One cheap(ish) hotel that is on the trolley line is Comfor Inn and Suits on the river. Any comments? I’ll look further into reviews and such before I book, but the spring break comment has me realizing I need to get on this even though it is March before I will travel. I don’t need fancy, just clean and bug free and easy to get to the Port of Miami on the morning of the cruise. Using the trolley seems to way to get there.

This may be a generation thing, but I am considering wearing track pants (thick, forest green, baggy with an elastic at the bottom) to the airport and on my trans pacific flight.

Acceptable? Or only for those under 25 or over 65?

Totally acceptable.

Agreed. Any type of clothing is acceptable for airports/flights in my opinion.

100% acceptable.

Acceptable. Shirt and jacket should be good enough that they don’t ignore you when you try to buy coffee at the airport. Shoes should have minimal unintentional holes.

Where do people buy cheap glasses? I have my regular glasses that I got from a local eyeglasses place in person, but I have some money left for vision reimbursement from my employer and I was thinking of getting a cheap backup pair.

I think @anomalily has used Zenni in the past if I remember?

You can also try eye buy direct

Zenni and Wherelight I have used for 10+ years. I do have a pretty straightforward prescription

I have a complex high diopter prescription that I go through my regular eye doctor for progressives, but I got a prescription for just reading glasses that I used through Zenni, and I’ve been completely happy with them.

Thanks! I would just be getting reading glasses so I think it should be pretty simple. I’ll start with checking out Zenni.

+1 zeni. They came out perfectly (normal prescription). Eyebuydirect did something weird to the glasses I ordered and the prescription always felt weird.
