Well now I hope they’re Christmas light related and when you go out for your walk your whole neighborhood will be LIT UP
More pic might be useful. It’s not heavy enough guage for power delivery. Some sort of monitoring thing. Are all of the pipes next to a broadband thing?
Nah they’ve been here.
I don’t think so, but I need to double check.
Ah! Husband has another:
Looks like cardinal directions are called out on the clear part next to the screws.
He agrees it’s all pretty mysterious.
SirB will ask his coworker who used to be a utility engineer on Monday. The mystery stands for now haha.
We had things like that in my neighborhood when fiber optic was put in. Most of them were buried after the final install, though.
Has anyone used a lick mat to slow down a scarf-n-barf wet kitty food eater?
Something like this? https://www.amazon.com/Lickimat-Fish-Shaped-Feeders-Reduction-Alternative/dp/B089DQBBMP/ref=asc_df_B089DQBBMP/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=475740757591&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=9169967433056669772&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9021743&hvtargid=pla-973680030161&th=1
Just saw that suggested on the Ask a Manager open thread, and after having to clean up after Girl Kitty this morning, I’m wondering if this might slow her down. It certainly would be more efficient than my current method of feeding her tiny tiny spoonfuls (which I did not do today because I was tired and wanted to drop food and go back to bed.)
I’ve heard of these before but thought they were plastic, which Girl Kitty has a sensitivity to. But these are apparently food grade rubber.
Solved. Annode instillation for natural gas lines. (“Grounding test station for for natural gas instillation”)
Can’t speak for the cat side, but sibling uses a similar thing for their dog and loves it…in that case I think it was less barfing and more choking that was causing issues, though.
I do use a feeder that forces my cat to eat small bites. It helps a lot, especially now that he’s on a prescription kibble for part of his diet.
I also used to “hide” feeding spots around the house in different places. Basically anything to make him work for his food and give them mental stimulation. My current cat is not a climber so hiding food doesn’t work because the dogs will get to them, so I just move his food around and only feed him after playing or after he works on tricks with the dogs.
I did the hiding-spot trick when I only had 1 cat and it worked well. Now, if I did that, Boy Kitty would eat way more than his share and Girl Kitty would get nothing.
She’s fine with kibble, it’s just the wet food that she sucks down. I’ve seen a lot of puzzle feeders for dry food so I was excited to come across the mat which is meant for wet food.
Forumers who have etsy shops/websites…etc. can y’all post your links please?
(That’s my random question)
Do relatives qualify? I’d be happy to send you a link to my brothers company.
Yes.
Retirement account question: now that my student loans are forgiven and I don’t need to keep taxable income artificially low for payment reasons, I’m starting to look at Roth accounts for both of us. I have a vague, irritating memory of reading somewhere that there’s a potential downfall to having Roth and traditional IRA accounts with the same provider. But Google is not helping me find anything about that. Does it sound familiar to anyone else? I’d like to keep things as simple as possible if there’s no good reason not to, but if there’s a real disadvantage, I could put traditional accounts with Vanguard and Roth’s with Fidelity.
I’ve never read that myself so dunno. Fidelity does have good Vanguard fund clones (Spartan brand funds). Schwab is yet another option to consider with good very low fee funds. My kids have their UTMA accounts there because the minimum to open was only $100
I’ve never heard this. We both have both tIRA and Roth IRAs with vanguard
Wish I could remember what I read. Maybe it was something about withdrawals? I’ll update if I find it or it comes back to me.
