Double check with your doc but I recently read the nasal sprays are supposed to be site specific enough to be safe, so like Afrin.

Personally I’m a huge fan of the Neil med sinus flushes.

Decongestant spray (max 3 days)- I usually alternate nostrils after the first dose AND they usually open me enough that I can use a neti pot.

Humidifier at night!!! If you haven’t already thought of that

I second the humidifier! And double up on the pillows if your head/neck can stand it.

Did anyone else get phantom kicks in their PP experience? I’m 7ish months PP with my second. It’s freaking me out feeling like I’m pregnant again and I am 1000% not (even taking tests to confirm). I still don’t have my cycle yet so it’s an extra panic!

Thank you for the validation!! Good to know that this is normal and I can feel nostalgic instead of panicked.

Ugh I can’t believe I’m going to be doing this again, but did folks end up with any wearable pumps they liked?

My first pregnancy I primary used a spectra s1 at home and a momcozy M5 while out / active at home, and that worked ok. maybe 1/10 times it just didn’t get any milk out on one of the boobs so I’d have to repeat with the other side’s pump. I think I can reuse my spectra s1 / buy supplies cheap online, so I’m wanting to use my insurance coverage for a wearable pump.

I anticipate I’ll be using a wearable pump more since I’ll also have a toddler at home and can’t just chill & pump in peace as often (I was a slow pumper).

I could get another momcozy m5 for $10 oop that I know works ok or a willow go for $100 oop that might work better?. There are also like 10 other options with varying coverage. Presumably whichever one I get I’ll be able to re-up on supplies with.

I used a willow go with the second kid - it was great as a backup pump. I’d have to pump for 45 min to get the same output as 20 min with the spectra, but I didn’t mind since I was usually pumping in the car or something like that.

I really liked the baby Buddha! It’s almost as strong (maybe even stronger) than the spectra and you can share parts with the spectra.

It’s not quite wearable as there are still the flanges and it’s not as subtle as the others but it’s very portable, the pump is the size of my cellphone and I could wear it around the house so easily! Very easy for working and pumping if you go that route.

Yeah, the Baby Buddha was great for being mobile around the house and having excellent suction. It hangs around your neck so it’s not really designed for eg going to a meeting or grocery store. Comparable suction to the hospital-grade pump I rented for a few weeks. This would be my pick if I had to pump more than half the time, and skip a Spectra/tabletop unit entirely.

The Elvie is like the Momcozy and Willow, almost invisible, good for errands or even light exercise. The suction isn’t as good; it exacerbated my supply issues so I used it only if I was going to be actively running errands. But it was pretty reliable, no randomly cutting out like you describe with the Mcozy.

Depending on how mobile you need to be, you can also get wearable cups for your wireless pump.

I recall having trouble driving with flanges so I think I need something shaped like the mcozy or willow.

I really need to test my spectra S2 at home to see if it still works bc if not then that’s probably the more obvious choice for how I’ll be pumping at home most of the time

Yes, I had Legendairy cups for my pump that felt almost exactly like my mom cozy wearablet and but were more effective! For someone who wasn’t going to pump, I sure wound up with a lot of pumping gadgets. There are other brands like cara cups or freemie that are all the same idea.

Just here to report that my feet changed again, 2.5y postpartum. I pulled out my Blundstones for fall; they’d been perfect and reliable for 2 years but last week they made my big toe hurt every time. I managed to get to an in-person store and turns out that 7 wide (7.5 in AUS sizing) doesn’t work anymore, but 7 with insoles to add arch support and take up some extra room are perfect. So I guess my foot shrank? Thanks post-postpartum!
