One last sunrise photo for spring, taken on the eve of Beltane - the celtic festival celebrating the peak of spring and the start of summer. After today the sun will be above the mountains before I get up at 6 o’clock and in a couple of days there will be no more ‘night’ until August.

We’re at about 56°N which puts us north of most of the major Canadian cities, but the north atlantic current gives us very different weather. The long summer evenings are wonderful until the midges come out!

The Netherlands is at 52 degrees and currently I reside at 43 degrees. Thank you for showing some of how it can be beautiful. It helps keep me from despairing the SADs.
