Paying Nanny Guaranteed Hours

Seeing it as an investment in not having to go through the slog of finding a new nanny again is a good framing.

Guaranteed hours are pretty standard in the nanny world, even part-time. The idea is you’re reserving her availability, not just paying for active hours.

We didn’t do guaranteed hours when we used an au pair through Go Au Pair, but that’s a different setup. For a nanny, this is one of those “normal but annoying” things you kind of have to accept if you want stability.
