Agreed. I was off work last week and didn’t read any news, and I’m so confused why the market it up right now.
It does look very nice for my end of month updates, but I’m worried it’s giving me false confidence in my tentative plan to quit my job later this year.

I took around $10K out of savings but then with our usual savings plus market gains we only went down like $2K in net worth. We’re still over the half-million mark we hit last month (assets only, not counting house value).

we could have crossed a line in the chart, but then the graph decided to put the line at a new number. numbers are anticipated to drop today.

I can’t decide how I feel about the market dropping like 2% in the last two days, right before I update my spreadsheets. On the one hand, it feels MUCH more accurate, but it’s also a lot of money I don’t get to put on my graph.

We tipped over a net worth line in July! I update our share & superannuation value once every 6 months or so in YNAB, and this time it got us over 
I refuse to check anything for another 6 months because I know the market just slid back a little

The graph decided to move the line again, which meant that it shows us crossing a line last month instead of this one. To be clear, we would have crossed the line from last month this month. Not as high as it was earlier in the month, but still an all time high ‘officially’, since mid month doesn’t count.
