Meme-ing our way through

I tried the meaning thing and it did not pan out. :woman_shrugging:

I used a version of a Russian idiom that may family quotes all the time. It’s mangled by running it though Google translate back and forth until output converges. Like 20 years ago there was a tool that did this for you, right after GT came out.

Maybe I did it wrong.

There was a whole collection of example ones I was too lazy to save and post! But who knows, could have been photoshops or could have been old versions :woman_shrugging:

Follow up-
Jk just tried it on chatGPT and it spat me some bullshit :joy:

Eta as long as my brain didn’t grab an actual idiom, but I don’t think so?

Second edit to try and make sure I tried to think of something even less likely to be a real idiom. Still some bullshit :joy:

Oh, I literally only tried it on Google search and it just didn’t trigger the AI. I’m sure if you feed it to an obligate AI it will bullshit something.

I’m happy to hear it! I would expect nothing less from Chicago. Pope memes celebrating the Chicago-ness of it all was a delight I hadn’t foreseen but gladly embrace.

I’d still like to know why Oedipus didn’t just use one of the other gates. I mean, it was seven-gated Thebes as I recall, were the six non-sphinx-guarded ones just rusted shut?
