The best is cherry or grape home grown tomatoes that don’t even make it in the house. Just pop them in your mouth while you are picking them.

A core memory for me is walking through the garden, picking and eating my lunch as I went. Sun warmed cherry tomatoes, green beans, raspberries, etc.
In those conditions veg need no embellishments or processing whatsoever.
