I don’t get it.
I’m sure lhamo knows more about this than me, but in the government crackdown on dissent in Tiananmen Square in China, this guy stood in the way of the tanks.
That image was super famous and is honestly the only thing I know about that chapter of Chinese history.

To my knowledge he has never been found. It’s assumed he did not have a great fate. But it’s a moment of bravery that is beautiful in it’s desperation.
