My mom went to work at a fast food restaurant after sheād retired - the same chain I worked at in another town at age 23, and for my former store manager who was 29 or 30. One of my little brotherās classmatesā younger sister was her shift leader. She freaking LOVED it. She loved being the honorary grandma of the group, she loved getting all the good town gossip about all my high school friends, and she loved that she padded her social security account by two years 
She only applied because Iād had such a great work experience at my location and she thought it would be fun.
