We have a neighbor who did this! She used to hand out apples from her tree, and when we went back this summer, we discovered zillow paid a ridiculous amount for her house and couldn’t find anyone to buy it.

I have a lot of sympathy for the people who ended up not getting a house because a corporation or flippers were able to offer cash (in SoCal!) in part because I have friends in those shoes…
But with regards to any losses incurred by Zillow…

I think more corporate jobs tend to have spoken or unspoken rules about visible tattoos and hair colour, much like private schools.

Yep. Many hospitals have policies for nurses and doctors about covering all visible tattoos. Banks too- my friend has to cover her tattoos, she’s a mortgage broker. I think it’s a hold over from when people thought tattoos = gang affiliation.
