Alternate history of the group with a Corpse Bride crossover. Powers is known for keeping to as much of the known history as possible in his novels.

Also, Polidori desperately wanted literary success but Byron thought he was a terrible writer. He immediately disclaimed responsibility for The Vampyre.

My elementary school bestie’s mom had a whole rant about this as she was learning English as a second language (and was fluent by the time I knew her). The only part I remember now is sit down vs. sit up. Even as an elementary school kid I was basically like “Yeah English is bad, sucks to be you and best of luck with this nonsense.”
