Ok ok now I want to know about the geese in your lobby. Like how many geese? How often does this happen? Do you have a pond out front or something where they usually hang out?
I respect you because you’re always asking the hard/important questions.
No we relocate it, basically means chucking it in a bag and driving for about 20km and releasing it
We have swans that hang out in our tailing dam. Thankfully they havent come into the office yet. We have no swan handlers
We’ve got retaining ponds they tend to like, especially around nesting season which is coincidentally when they tend to get aggressive/territorial. I’m not sure they’ve ever made it in the front entrance although they fiercely defended two of the maternity parking spaces one year, but at least twice they’ve gotten into the back lobby which isn’t staffed and then fun emails went out detailing the process of their eviction. They came in through the roof once too, I think that was due to contractors propping a door open, but that got a visit from actual animal control people.
Thank you for indulging my work-related animal curiosity!
Yes, but even when I did reception at a sand and gravel company in the middle of a river flood plain, I never had to take a snake out

Oh ok then well ours are just super friendly?
Possibly also more plentiful? And certainly larger- I don’t think I’d notice most of our little snakes coming in cuz they’re like 6” long! Itty bitty guys. Even as a farm kid, and working construction, etc etc, I probably only saw snakes a couple times a year growing up. Now, I’ve seen ONE that I can remember in the last 2-3 years.
Huh. Oedipal suggestion there.
The joke is that in Avatar, Sokka’s girlfriend turns into the moon. Zuko famously says “that’s rough, buddy”.
I figured it was something like that. I meant that the wiggler is my phone background
Oh yes, I figured (slash knew, lol!) on the Wiggler photo, but figured I’d clarify
@LadyDuck I probably should have mentioned that, I am basically in the middle of no-where, nearest town is 80km away and we all live in cabin style accommodation near work and fly here from larger towns/cities
I am choosing to believe you are an accountant in downtown Sydney and will not be convinced otherwise
I couldnt afford to live in Sydney
