I guess I should add, in case it accidentally came across like I was some kind of teacher/union hater, that I’m not anti teacher, my mother was an elementary teacher and one of my best friends is a high school teacher. (Both in blue states, though different ones). Back in my mother’s day the tradeoff for lower pay was a pension (which she does get and which is good) I have no idea if any teachers get them now. Also summers off was great for childcare for my family.
Also, I love teaching, but I don’t think I would ever be a public school teacher. Too much politics and BS and lack of support to teachers from administration - it started to get bad when my mother retired (over a decade ago now) and has only gotten worse. And with cell phones, classroom management is a joke (it’s basically impossible). Teaching is a very very very difficult job.
Well I’m definitely incorporating that second one in somehow whenever I run again.
My work mate sent me this screen shot. Ive blacked out names but the purple bit is blacked out of my name
The majority of the spreadsheet is a waste of time anyway and the person asking for it keeps changing the format and why they want the data anyway.
I laughed out loud. GM doesn’t get it, is he broken?
Probably. Maybe that website has some tips to help
Maintenance Phase has an episode on Michael Pollen!!! I’m unreasonably excited. I’ve been mentally roasting him since I first read his book and was like, “wow everything informative here you stole from Marion Nestle and everything else shows you’re super uninformed about food history, also you very clearly have NO food/ag background at all and are cloaked in your comfy little upper middle class bubble and also why are you writing this to begin with???”. Then it became a massive hit and people thought he was a food genius despite being literally just a random journalist, and I was like…why. Just why.
Anyway I think it’s guaranteed to be a really good/funny one!
I enjoyed it!! You will too i bet!
Is it weird that I forget they don’t know me? I like to pretend I’m friends with them, hahaha.
I use less dry when I am gonna iron shit. So like maybe a couple times a year. Saves me having to spritz the clothes with water when ironing.
I’ve actually used it in winter when I want to avoid static, but it still made me laugh
