My library growing up had this! We also had an art library where you could literally check out works of art (Sculptures, paintings, etc.) and keep them in your home for a couple of weeks. I had no idea it was uncommon until I moved.

Awesome, I’ve never heard of an art library! When I was lurking on librarian Twitter while getting my MLIS, I followed a librarian who started a bow tie library at his branch. So fun
