Yeah! Two of the library systems I belong to only have late fees for interlibrary loan. It’s great!
I love that it’s becoming a trend. Especially for kids!!!
Ours have late fees but they are almost always wiped clean. And I never ask! They did make me install the app in front of them and tell me to do renewals or if things are rough have someone else call to renew.

LA county library system abolished late fees several years ago, as did my local city library within LA County. I suppose some other cities in the area may still have them though?
