Agree 100%, but I hope future him will be able to take comfort in knowing he has it in him to do that when push comes to shove. Most of us would never know that (or not for long, I suppose).

I’m hoping he’s young enough that he doesn’t really get it, developmentally. We’ve had to explain to my kid when he was around 5 that video game death and someone actually being dead are two very different things so please don’t casually threaten to kill someone when you’re just fighting imaginary bad guys as we’re all walking down the street. :roll_eyes: :woman_facepalming: Anyway that’s what I’m telling myself is the context of that.

Sometimes the explanation just goes sideways at that age :wink: That’s probably my favorite developmental age and I adore the things our patients come up with in response to things we ask them to do. That stage also tends to be the best at trying to trick us and I love it :slight_smile:
