Do the thing you've been putting off!

I started back up again as an admin for the FB group I’ve been avoiding dealing with while on maternity leave.

Eta also immediately recruited two new admins so I’ll have more help soon.

Well it has taken me about 4 weeks - I called the dentist about what is being done for my root canal - if the dentist is doing it or if I’m going to a specialist. I got voice mail and left a message but still I’m terrified to do it. But on the flip side I just want it done and over with.

I removed the pumpkins that have been on my porch since the first holiday that Americans get pumpkins for. Now they can finish decomposing in the woods.

I’m going to admit I haven’t started our taxes yet, in hope that writing it here will get me moving on it. Feel free to ask me about my progress. Please and thank you.

So how are those taxes going?

Thanks, rural. I hadn’t done anything about it but because of your comment I opened up Turbo Tax and at least got started. I’m at work and our w-2s are at home, but at least I started now. That’s the hardest part for me.

I sent some emails that I’ve been putting off. The emails were super short and I was able to send them all while microwaving my lunch. I was just putting them off because of anxiety.

Aaaand over a month later, we’ve called and switched to the right level of cover. By “we” I mean Mr H.

Was it long to wait in the phone call? Because I’m thinking of doing that on Monday.

Nope!

I did the census. No idea why I was being slow on that.

I’m torn. Doing it means money for the library, but also more population for my deep red state means more evil in Congress.

Made a sand pit. It’s been sitting in the car port since Christmas.

Called an electrician to come uninstall some lights. Woot!

And then followed up with tradie neighbour about the rest of the work needed. He’s replied that he’s injured and can’t do it for at least three or four weeks, but that if that doesn’t rule him out, he’s keen. So I will hold fire on that piece of work, but feel good about having followed up anyway.

Same. It took me more time to find the letter in the haphazard pile of mail than filling it out.

So you guys got something in the mail from the census? I thought it was going to be online this time.

Yes, it is an online form… you should have received a notice in the mail that included the census website and your individual ID to use as a sign in. My form (and a reminder I got a few weeks later) said that it was required to respond by April 1, so if you haven’t received anything, I’m not sure. There might be more info on the census website though, it’s https://my2020census.gov/. If you “start the questionnaire”, there is an option to click if you don’t have an ID, so maybe that is the route to go. :woman_shrugging:

Thanks. Haven’t gotten anything, probably because we don’t have US mail service at home.

That would do it!
