Motivation is great, but it’s fickle. You can change your environment and get results without changing your motivation. I was working out 4-7 times a week when I had a gym at my office that provided free classes and loaned towels and workout clothes. Then our office flooded. I worked from home for months. My inner motivation stayed the same, but my actions were drastically different. I suddenly had much higher barriers to exercise, and I exercised almost never.
